Our Pet Casper

Do you like dogs?  We have a pet dog.  His name is Casper.  He is a mixture between the Japanese Spitz and the Daschund.  He was given to us when he was just a puppy, about a month old.   Now he has grown into a beautiful dog.  We named him Casper because he is so white and fluffy, and very friendly he reminds us of Casper the friendly ghost!  He will be two years old on July 7 this year.  Nobody believes he is a mixed breed between the two kinds of dogs I mentioned because he is so big and beautiful! 

Anyway, from the day we had Casper, I’ve taken pictures every month, at least one or two of them, which I now made into a little slideshow that I would like to share to all…

A Stripper’s Triumph

She was a stripper,  but she has brains.  This former stripper took home the Oscar Academy Award for best screenplay last Sunday night,  for the movie Juno.  Yes, people, there are many other talented girls in this world who want to do more than dancing or stripping just to earn for their keep.  And Diablo Cody showed them the way. 

Her real name is Brook Busey-Hunt, and she isn’t the first stripper to transition her skills into the broader entertainment industry. However, many dancers with day jobs still believe that they continually face prejudices day after day of their lives,  and that Cody’s success may not change that reality.

 Let’s give them that chance.  If we deserve the chance to prove ourselves, I believe they deserve the same chance to prove that they can do better for their own lives too!
